Claim total: £1213.19

A month or so after sending the preliminary letter: a "goodwill" cheque for £450.

Letter accepting cheque only on condition of it forming a partial payment enclosed with Letter Before Action.

A month or so later, another "goodwill" cheque, this time for £527.

A second letter accepting cheque only on condition of it forming a partial payment enclosed with Letter Before Action, offering them a "goodwill" extension of 14 days before I continue legal action to reclaim the balance.

£236.19 to go.

In the meantime, I'm about to send a prelim letter to the Clydesdale Bank - seems that the "service charge" that has apppeared on my statements from time to time is, in fact, a penalty levied against dips over agreed overdraft limits.

Good luck to everyone!
