What a unique opportunity to pry even more closely into other people's lives and to pursue them with marketing or other distressing and nuisance communications.

 

It seems to be available to any NosyParker (dot) com agency and no mention of any checks as to whether the buyer is a responsible person or is registered with the ICO - although maybe that comes later once you make the phone call.

I get these all the time at work... They just drop into our Enquiries inbox.

I wrote a couple of template letters regarding cold calling companies who must have gotten my details from another company.

 

The general gist is "prove you have signed authority, ie a form filled in by me with a business partner of yours where I ticked I would like my details to go to "business partners" of theirs. Or to prove definitevly where they got my data from. I sent them, but sadly have never yet had the cash to test them on it, by threatening court for data protection breach etc.
