Help!

After reading issues I hope someone can help. My company received a CCJ claim which we defended as it had been partially paid and the balance disputed. The defence was hand delivered 24 hour before expiry date. The court claim it was not received until 5 days after expiry and judgement granted. The defence paperwork was received back in the post. I complained but was told no point in defending as they were adamant when it was received and judge would take their side with no evidence of delivery.

 

Can I do anything?

You can apply to have the judgement set aside but this is quite difficult. It will only be permitted if there is good chance that your defence would succeed. If you go to the court service website and search for "set aside" it should pull up the necessary information and form.
