Barclays SAR Request

Hi recently SAR Barclays and have received a list of documents from them, can someone give me an idea as to what they should have sent me.

They have sent me a print out of statements which point out telephone calls made to house and late payment charges going back 6 years dont seem to see any T&Cs included. I know I have had an account longer than that, is this all that they are required to send me, any help would be appreciated.

Hi Bert,

 

The SAR is a request for the bank to supply you with data they hold about you. It is not a request for specific documents and this is why no T&C's have been sent to you.

 

The bank maintain that their records are destroyed after 6 years but we're sure this is untrue. That's why you'll normally only get 6 years of data.

I actually received the microfiched front page of 2 CC application forms, 1 illegible and one that can't be linked the the recon they sent me (both from BC). The ICO has stated that microfiche docs should be contained in a SAR, so tell the you want all personal data on microfiche.

Barclaycard held statements for me going back to 2002. Make sure you chase them for outstanding information.

Friend of mine recently got statements going back exactly 10 years. Curiously they didn't cash the cheque for the £10 fee.
