I needed something urgently so used wickes.co.uk and they state next day delivery. Its now been 4 days and I still don't have it. They keep on messing me around saying someone will contact me and I have lost a days labor due to this and will again on Monday. The money has been taken from my card and my receipt says next day delivery.

 

Anything I can do?

Write a Formal Letter of Complaint, mark it as such. Explain what's happened (ordered product for delivery), how they have let you down (non-delivery, loss of days labour) and what you want them to do (deliver goods, compensate you).

 

Send it to:-

 

Mr John Carter

Chief Executive

Travis Perkins

john.carter@travisperkins.co.uk

 

Depending on how you paid you could consider a Chargeback.

Yup, ask for compensation for the loss of earnings caused by their action. Fairly straightforward breach of contract.

 

I emailed them and got a call from the local store who were very rude about it and basically told me that the item is not in stock I can wait until they get it back in stock (no dates and could be upto a month) or get my money back. They delivered 50% of my order a few days back. I must say though the person was very rude and angry that I had emailed Head office.

 

I would rather wait as the offer was buy two get one free which saved me £30 per can.

If that is the only way to get the service you deserve, then that's exactly what you must do. Who is paying who, if the store isn't happy, that's tough, they should get it right the first time.

Spoke with the store they saying they can't do anything and I can have the money back. Basically we don't care if we put you through any inconvenience never mind compensate you for it. What would you do next?
