Hi,

please can someone advise me.

I have had my complaint updheld by Natwest for 10 loans with PPI.

The 10 loans total £127K.

Today Natwest sent me 10 letters and added up together the offers add up to just over £4K.

I have wriiten back saying this is no where near enough compensation

and that they need to up their offer.

Is this normal that they would offer such a small amount.

Natwest say that as my loans are part of a chain so the offers are small.

One of my loans the last of a chain of 5 loans is for £25K and they have only offered me £56.00 !

which does not seem correct.

Any advice would be most welcome.

urm...very low

you need to SAR them

get all the details

then use out details in link 1 below to do the spreadsheet.

refuse the refund till they give you

1. a detailed breakdown of how they calculated the refund

2. you receive the SAR return

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

You can ask for a breakdown of the claim offer - the way in which they have calculated this.

If all the loans are with the one bank, you only need send the one SAR - it covers ALL your financial dealings with the bank.

You should make it quite clear in the request that the SAR is for ALL data in respect of your history with the bank. I have popped the link to the CAG template below for you.

Hello plasticpaddy69,

I have recently applied for PPI refund on rolling over loans from Natwest.

To start with I did as has been suggested to you send off an SAR request (cost £10).

This should give you most of the info Natwest hold on you including details of all loans you have had with them.

Be aware though that (in my case) five different envelopes arrived independently,

a mountain of info,

but very useful in calculating what you have paid and the amount including interest you should be able to reclaim.

I have recently received a little over £20k with a breakdown of their calculations.

I wish you lots of good luck.

Start with the SAR.

Hi, Boltmaker,

thanks for the advice.

First thing Monday morning I shall send them a request for a SAR.

Did Natwest send you a very low offer initially and then increase after the SAR?

If so what sort of figure did they offer?

thanks for all the help.

this shows the benefit of working out the claim yourself. do you have any paperwork for these loans or old bank statements to help piece it together. check out citizenb and ims link to how to work out claim
