I‘ve received a letter from a solicitor saying they are acting for Cabot. They make the usual threats e.g. may do this + that etc. They mention Pre Action Protocols. I am looking for advice about how I can respond, I was thinking along the lines of. “Now you’ve mentioned pre action protocols could you send me a copy of the credit agreement that you will rely on in court”. Years ago Cabot sent me a single paged document with my signature but none of the prescribed terms. They have also offered various discounts over the years. I was wondering if I can ask for anything else that may make them back off.

The account is a credit card opened in 1999, the last payment or acknowledgement was Oct 2008. I have a DN which is compliant.

Any ideas about what else I can say.

Many thanks

Debs
