CCA request to Marlin- left payee blank. returned Postal Order

Hi there,

 

I recently sent a CCA request to Marlin.

I enclosed a postal order buy didn't put any payee on there.

 

 

They have returned my PO because it doesn't have any payee details on it.

 

 

I thought it was not necessary to put this on there.

 

 

Should I just start again and send it back with the Payee details on there?

They did exactly the same thing to me last week. Seems like a delaying tactic on their part. I just returned the PO with the details they'd requested filled in and enclosed a copy of the original letter with the same date on it.

The reason why the payee details are not entered is because if you do, they will return it saying that the details are incorrect. So another one of their puerile methods to frustrate the legal process, and must be reported to the OFT.

 

What is the CCA for?

There are a number or ways to attack this, ignore Marlin entirely and deal direct with the OC, informing them that as they are employing an immature third party you will not be entering into any correspondence with them and will only deal direct with the OC.

 

OR, send the blank PO back to the clowns with a covering letter informing them that the time limit began when you first sent them the CCA request and their attempts at frustrating the legal process of obtaining your agreement, has not gone unnoticed, and has been reported to the OFT, should they continue in this manner then you will also report them to the ICO and no further correspondence will be entered into.
