I have the dla form still from November 2022 and havent completed it for various reasons, several family bereavements etc. Can i still send it or will they refuse it in its entirety? as the date has expired to return it or would they still accept it from the date i posted it or backdate it to a more reasonable date? Or is it a matter of requesting a new form and starting again?

Hi, I recieved a PCN today (dated 28/03/23) for a contravention date 22/03/23 for 'failing to comply with a prohibition on certain types of vehicle (motor vehicles).Its an LTN. Its in relation to several designated roads in a London borough being exempt from motor vehicles driving through and use for just resident drivers,pedestrians and cyclist. (Low traffic neighbourhood). I entered the road (within the LTN),I didnt see any signs that i shouldnt have been driving in there until i left and saw the camera sign (it was too late by then). My query is, whether i saw the signage or not before entering the area, i am a blue badge holder with mobility issues and i went in the LTN area to collect a food parcel, are the local council not allowing blue badge holders into the zone and expect us to park outside the zone and enter on foot (which is impossible)? (Its Lambeth council). I am exempt from LTN area's by my local council, as i am a blue badge holder but this a different council.

I rang them and they said they are unable to offer an extension but to put a covering letter with the form i recieved, explaining the postal delays and send it back asap. However, two months is a long time and they cant be sure it will accepted from November's date.

I requested the DLA form in mid november, it arrived 4 days ago,18th Jan 2023 (I have no idea why it had taken so long-over 9 weeks) i have had missing/lost post since before christmas (mid December) and its trickling through now (with the dla form being the longest to take to arrive) The stamp says i had until the end of December 2022 to return it but that has expired. What do i do now, do i ring them tomorrow and get them to send a new form with to new claim date? As i doubt they will let the November claim date continue with an extended date given the major postage delay will they?

Hi, I am single parent with a disabled child. I currently recieve UC (in LCWA group) and PIP. We are living in very poor damp and mould conditions, that is contributing to my poor health and a risk to my child's health. Many of our clothes have been ruined by damp/mould.... what i can salvage, is too small now, as children outgrow their clothes very quickly. I am too embarrassed to ask for help with a children's clothes bank etc but i just cant afford to buy replacement sizes all the time and as i have clothes to raise funds then i would rather leave the clothes bank to someone in more need,even it means me having to sell 5-10 items, in order for my child to get a second hand warm coat and warm boots. Can i sell my child's used clothes on selling sites like ebay, in order to raise funds to buy my child replacement second-hand clothes in the next size up? I understand ebay pays out monthly, so this could be percieved as 'regular' income as it could take months to sell. I would be using the funds to buy replacement secondhand clothes for my child and the purchases would be seen as showing the next size up, would that be ok? Ebay ask for a NI number,if it is ok to sell our used clothes (well, not so much mine, as i am housebound most of the time and live in house clothes),is there a limit of funds/amount per year and do i have to declare it? (as i do not want to be sanctioned) and children's clothing size change, seems like a never ending conveyor belt of needing to be replaced, so could be a long-term solution if allowed. Sorry for the long post but i am desperate.....

Hi, I am a single parent, i receive UC (LCWA) and PIP (enhanced both care & mobility). Am i entitled to claim DLA for my disabled child (under 16)? I had been using my PIP money to pay for both our additional needs/care but our needs have increased and i am in financial hardship trying to cope financially with both our needs. I didnt apply before for DLA, as i just struggled on with solely my PIP, as i assumed i couldnt claim DLA for my child, as i am registered disabled and having two disabled people in one household wouldnt qualify. Would this affect my UC amount? Is there a benefit cap? We have a very supportive family network but they too are feeling the strain. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
