I have had my fill with Sky so i am transfering my phone and Broadband to Tesco. They are doing free Broadband for 12 months if i take out a phone line.

Looking into reviews with Tesco broadband, it seems they have quite a few negative responses and lousy customer service. It seems they used the Thompson router which was always dropping out,

These reviews are 12 months old and i cannot seem to get any current reviews.I believe they have now changed the router

Has anybody on the forum got phone and broadband through Tesco now and can give me an honest review. Tesco are about to go Fibre optic as well but for the moment i will be on the normal ADSL

as Tesco, like every other phone line broadband provider

use the BT infrastructure

until BT fit fibre to your area, that'll not be available.

pers i'd always go with BT or virgin [if in a cable broadband area that is! for vermin!]

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

re you reasonably techy?

have you done any self diagnostics?

have you looked at the routererror logs etc?

made sure you've nothing running in the background on the PC

do all PC's do the same?

sky don't limit the speed / retentions etc

if there are issues with your line with noise etc

changing supplier down the same infrastructure wont change a thing.

Go with a dedicated provider. Not a silly supermarket masquerading as one.

I have sky fibre at home and i have never had an issue with it. If it does start to get a bit slow, then all i need to do is a couple of traceroutes and pathpings to the relevant sites i use, match them with router logs, and send them to sky so they can adapt the line to suit.
