First time poster..

I recieved a letter from fredrickson international limited

informing me that they would like confirmation of my new address

and asking me to contact them?

It doesn't tell what the debt is and who it is with.

But I'm sure it's an vodafone unpaid bill.

I left my job to care for my ill partner and my little one and was up to date with my payments,

but then monies became tight.

I asked to downgrade several time which they refused,

then I asked to cancel my bill and start making small payments.

again vodafone refused saying that I could only cancel if I paid the full amount which I was unable to do so.

At the moment I'm being helped by step change, due to debts with me and my partners banks,

I have never owe monies before and never missed a payment and was 100% truthful about the job

and my partners illness.

as soon as I told all parties, they all seems to get nasty . No loyalty it seems.

Sorry to go on.

In a nutshell I'm at a lost what to do.

All the spare monies I have goes to my other debts goes to my step change account.

So what do I say to fredrickson international ??

They write to you at your address asking for your address, they are phishing just ignore it until you get something with some detail on it.

Do not speak to them on the phone under any circumstance.

I have no legal training, any knowledge I have has come from this forum, and my own experiences. Always balance up any advice you get with your own common sense.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you DX for the link, as I guessed I do think it's vodafone.

I tried everything with vodafone their customer service is shocking and very rude when it comes to payment. I do understand that I owe the money and at no point did I ever say that I will not make payment. All I asked for was time to pay and cancel the phone but still pay for the whole out standing contact.

Hi,

I would assume that Freds are collecting on behalf of Vodafone (that is usually what happens) As they haven't told you what this is about yet, ignore them till they do. When they write something confirming this is a VF debt, the letter may ay 'client' within it. This would confirm they are acting for VF and as such you can totally ignore them as they would have NO power-nothing-nada.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Everything I say is opinion only. If you are unsure on any comment made, you should see a qualified solicitor
