Hi All,

Needless to say I got myself into trouble with Wonga and I am currently paying this off as part of my payplan arrangement.

I do feel that I am being ripped off on the interest so I asked them for a statement from my account which they have provided.

The problem is that it is not very clear what is what on it. I would like to fight them to get the interest reduced as its roughly about 6 times what borrowed in the first place.

The question is, is there somebody that would take a look at it for me and see if they can make any sense of it.

I am overly worried about the privacy, so will even post it on here. Just would like the facts so that I can go back to them.

Cheers

Graham

Can you provide us with the breakdown of the debt please. Wonga have dropped to the same level as other PDL's lately, and they seem to be adamant of charging interest up to the point of the first repayment date. Something which is against OFT guidelines.

You dont need to give personally identifying info. Just the item names and costs.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Going by that statement, they are well and truely cash cowing you.

WHy the hell did they leave the account open and allow it to accrue interest when you never made a payment to it in well over a year? Especially on a fixed sum loan set on a specific period.

Many thanks for the replies.

I am looking to get them to either reduce the interest on the account or return any monies that they were not legally entitled to.

Any suggestions to point me in the right direction ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Graham
