Hi,

What address should I use to send my first letter to HSBC asking for my money back?

Also Have read about sending £10.00 somewhere to find out all charges from my account, as like many are having trouble getting them from internet!

any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Hi, Welcome to the forums.

It is wise to spend some time reading around first to be sure you know what you are taking on, start at the FAQ's:

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=5

It will take you about 2 days to find your way around the site and to familarise yourself with some current cases.

To answer your questions: It doesn't matter where you send your prelim letter. You can either take it into your local branch in person (get some form of paperwork to confirm you left it there!) post it to your branch, post it to head office or find another address in the contacts thread at the top of the HSBC section.

Wherever you post it to make sure you send it recorded delivery, then they can't claim that they never received it.

The £10 is for the DPA, you can find more deatils about this by reading around and a step-by-step guide here:

Keep us updated and Good Luck!
