GATSO MArkings?

Just out of curiousity, a local Gatso 's road markings (the hash marks after the camera are virtually non existant, I am not going to run the camera as it may well be switched off but does the lack of markings invalidate any record if one was over the flash point?

If there is enough of the marking to satisfy the quality of assessment, then it makes no difference. They aren't under the same type of regs as double yellow lines where them being valid because of breaks/fading can be challenged.

 

You would be able to see in the photo if they have adjudged your speed correctly and how they done it.

You can bet that the radar is correctly calibrated unless someone has bashed the post or box so the lines are there to show you if you challenge it that you are banged to rights. As the lines are calibrated you only need 2 of them to be clearly visible to prove the radar calibration, the bunch of them just make the series of photos fired off coherent and get you to admit the offence rather than argue.
