Doesn't matter if it is just a threat or not, because your not going to be talking do any goon who might turn up anyway.

Print this off, http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?441-If-you-do-receive-a-doorstep-visit-we-give-these-suggestions-to-Members. and if some powerless stranger does turn up, shove it in their hands and shut the door. If they don't leave, or sit in their car watching the house then call the police and have them removed.

Be under absolutely no illusion, YOU have much more legal power than any random stranger who has the misfortune to knock on your door. They have NO powers whatsoever, if you have a camera then take their photograph as well.

Was the card in an envelope?

When was the cr@pone card taken out?

How much is owing on it?

When did he last pay anything toward it?

And I bet their are loads of penalty fees and charges on their that he can reclaim.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!

CFS Holdings is an alias of Power 2 Contact.

As Boo has advised you, do not speak to any doorstep caller, other than to tell them that all communication must be in writing, and to tell them that you require them to leave at once. However, the proportion of actual visits compared to the number of cards these clowns send out is minimal.

If your stepson has diagnosed mental health problems, he is vulnerable. There are additional guidelines for DCAs and creditors in these circumstances - National Debtline will be able to advise you fully.
