Can't find seller details **Resolved**

Sold a car on 13 th february , Sent part of v5 to seller and the rest to dvla

Got a parking fine last week and contacted dvla lm still the keeper

Don't have new keeper addresss only contact numbers and not responding

Dvla says to send my details and when l sold the car

Will they take me off as registered keeper without the new owners details

I'm panicking

Tax runs out 30/4/2013 what if they can't tax it

Should l sorn the car if l receive the tax reminder

As the new keeper is not cooperating at all

If so, what address did you send it to?

If it is to a buyer, it's the green 'New Keeper Supplement' (V5C/2) to the buyer, you send the rest of the V5C to the DVLA.

 

If it is sold/transferred to the trade, you send the yellow V5C/3 to DVLA, rest of the V5C to the trader.

l must be rubbish on this somehow l didn't see my messages , any way went to court for the parking ticket , and l had the emails that we exchange with the new buyer , also the copy from the text messages and exchange of my insurance from the old car to new car that l bought and , they said that was enough proof that the car wasn't mine anymore and they were going to write to the parking fine about it so l was free

with DVLA they wanted a written letter from me with all the car details, the make, year , model and all that , put my signature and full name , state when l sold the car

and explaining that you haven't received confirmation that the car is no longer yours or if you have bought the car and not yet received it that will mean you will put the date you bought it

it worked they took me off the car as registered keeper

at the end l was a happy bunny and not forgetting l learnt a lesson, thought to reply in case someone get into similar situation
