For the last week or two, we have been promised a new set of Chunky KitKat bars :-

Mint

Coconut

Choc Fudge

Hazlenut

We're supposed to try them and vote for our favorite, leading to it being put into full production.

So far, we've failed to see them anywhere - not in big stores or small local shops.

Has anyone seen any and, if so, where.

Being a fan of the Peanut Butter Chunky KitKat, which came about after a similar trial a couple of years back, I was looking forward to trying the new ones.

:-(

We could do with some help from you

I suspect the Peanut Butter Chunky KitKat is reserved for those south of the border.

If you can't find one, let me know and I'll try and sneak one to you in a plain brown package to avoid detection by Border Control.

They're very nice but can sometimes be difficult to find.

Our local Co-op has them - my son bought one of each. I had the mint one which was nice, he ate the others and said the fudge one was best.

Here they're around 60p EACH so 4 for a quid is brilliant! Tried the hazelnut & coconut; not madly keen on either - I find chunky kit-kats a bit dry for my liking. So saying that, I do like the peanut butter one, but it'll never ever beat Reese's peanut butter cups!!!

Yaay !!

Managed to source in our newly-opened Co-Op. Mrs Slick bought 2 of each flavour, purely for research purposes. Unfortunately, they cost a whopping 67p each !!

The verdict so far scoring points out of 10 :-

Coconut gets 4. It was bland and I'd have never guessed the flavour if it wasn't written on the wrapper.

Choc Fudge gets 5. Sweet but not quite in a good way. The filling was difficult to recognise and it battled with the outer coating.

Hazlenut gets a 9 !! Excellent praline-type filling which was not too sweet and it even tasted Hazelnutty !!

Mint will be rated in a future testing - probably tomorrow. One a day is quite enough.

I should add that the Peanut Butter version which they brought out a while back gets a 9 on my scoreboard.
