Hello, I have discovered that 2 CCJ's were issued against me while I was not resident in the U.K (moved to Australia) I was under the impression I had to be a resident of the U.K for the Judgements to be issued, if this is the case, can I get them set aside?

Thanks in advance.

If you did not update creditors with your address, then they are entitled to apply for a CCJ using your last known UK address. If this is the case, you will struggle to get the CCJ's set aside, even if you were out of the country.

On the other hand, if you did inform creditors of your new address, then they should not have applied for CCJ's that you were unable to defend. You would then be able to apply for the CCJ's to be set aside. You would need to sort out, how you would be represented at any hearing.

We could do with some help from you.
