the lease hold on a property a friend ownes becomes renewable soon, and there is talk of the land owner changing certain aspects of the lease, if he decides to do that does he have to consult us about the new changes or can he just add them/change them and we have to lump it.

this is a holiday park to which we have a chalet, and we are one of about 40 people who's lease becomes renewable at the same time.

cheers in advance.

Hiya.

What do you mean by 'becomes renewable' ? Is this a long lease, e.g. 99 years but it has fallen to the low point 70/80 years or so where it can be extended ?

Generally leases, well long leases can only be changed by agreement of both sides, leaseholder AND freeholder/landlord.
