Recieved O/H agreement from MBNA, noticed that although she was unemployed at the time, she ticked PPI and they did not inform her tht it was worthless if she was unemployed, so claim submitted today.

 

Will let you know how it goes :-)

letter recieved today, ppi complaint upheld, cheque in the post - Merry Christmas:-D

Oh and make sure that u get ALL the interest...as it appears that MBNA are short circuiting claimants as to the full amounts:wink:

how did you manage to get it sorted so quickly? We initially sent a SAR and rec'd all statements, then when ringing to see how far they were with it had to lodge the ppi complaint on the phone with them. Still waiting for a response....

Interested to know how you managed to get it verified? There are now numerous instances of MBNA short changing interest. Did you get one of their spreadsheets?

 

I used various spreadsheets available on both here and other sites and worked out what had been paid and when and then added the 8% interest - in fact I was over £70 short of what they came back with.

One letter was all it took, politley pointing out that PPi for a housewife (as stated on the application form) was not really going to be much use, so basically they did not have a leg to stand on
