Ive got a payday loan with wonga of £1200

It's due on the 9th of nov

I have no way of paying the agreed roll over of aprox £260

I called them today and without saying i was going to default i asked them to remove two out of the 3 cards they had of my accounts on their system

the guy was very helpful and took the two card details off

i then waited for 15 mons and called up to get a diff person to speak to and asked him to check what cards i had on their system and he said just one!! yay i told him that if i defaulted would they try and take money from any other accounts and he said no is this right??

also he said phone up on the 6th to request a ependiture form, they would email it and to send back and they, once receiving it would freeze and put my account on hold till such a time the payment plan was accepted

is this true? is it that simple?

Hi gunny45,

You can check the cards they have on file online on their website when you log in.

I assume, as Wonga is a lot automated, that the system will only try the primary card left in their system, but to be on the safe side I woiuld recommend to 'lose' all three debit cards and get new ones from the banks.

Wonga can be easy to deal with regarding repayment plans compared to some other PDL out there.

You have to request the repayment plan on the day you default (they will not issue repayment plans before default date) and I would recommend to do this by email to them. As their representative already stated, they will send you an I&E form to complete, which is an Excel form. When completing it take care to end up with an available income in the region of what your desired rate of monthly payments to them is. Keep in mind that they will agree to repayment plans of 12 - 18 months.

Hi gunny45,

...and I forgot... Do NOT give them your new card details, even when you are on a repayment plan with them, as they will try from time to time to take the full amount... pay by standing order instead to their bank account.

Agree totally with pdl victim. Wong are now better to deal with than most. The bit i hate is that you have to wait until the day before you can set up a repayment plan.

I would lose all three cards and at the same time write to the bank removing cpa and also email Wonga telling them you want a plan and removing cpa. That then puts you in control if anything goes wrong.

Thankyou for the great advice :) I'm praying that they have just my one account/card details now, and I will call them on the day of default. i did default with them about a year ago and when i called them on the day and said i would'nt be able to pay for another month they just said okies nps and froze the interest, thet was for about £500, this time its £1200 but i.m flexable and can pay £100 a month for 4 months then the rest paid in one hit so over 5 months its paid lol sounds fair to me.. thing that gets me is that I defaulted before as i said and still they offer me loans

I'd rather not fill out one of their forms first. id rather speak to them on the phone and get it sorted that way first, lol i have no money anyway for them to take :)

my main concern is to pay off

mini credit £500

speed credit £400

as no way will they even be pleasent if i default on those

I plan to pay them this month hopefully

lol speed credit charge interest at £25 per £100 borrowed every two weeks!!

so £100 ontop of the loan every two weeks

they dont even bother with a payment from you

more than happy for you to just phone and put back for another two weeks this i dont plan to do as two weeks in this game goes mighty fast!
