I got the feeling this is a pr excercise. Let alone the ridiculous situation of NHS as a subcontracter to a private firm for the Dwp assessments.

 

At the very least Scottish PIP claiments wont have to face atos.

I'm not sure about a PR exercise for ATOSH, I do think it's a massive own goal for the Government. This is a situation where the Government has clearly said to it's state owned healthcare professionals, you are not qualified to assess the fitness of a patient we need to bring in a private contractor. That contractor has now said we can't do all the work we're going to sub contract to the state owned healthcare professionals. Clear evidence that the Government could have cut out the middle man and given the NHS some much needed revenue. A complete farce.

So what it amounts to is ATOS are getting £40m to do the job that should be being done by the NHS.

 

ATOS are sub contracting the job back to the NHS for say £20m.

 

ATOS are getting paid £20m for nothing.

 

(this is just conjecture) ATOS make £**m donation to Tory Party.

 

When are people going to cotton on the what is happening with all these private companies being paid vast amounts of public money to do the job of public bodies. Jobs that are not being done properly and many more millions of public money is being used to put things right.
