if only ,thou i have been known to pay by monopoly money and i once paid by check ( no it is not a spelling mistake ) i was a piece of material from something it was throwing out and it happened to be check patterned.

Why Magistrates court ? If this was a member of the public who had done this, they would be spending time behind bars. As this was a company, they are just told that they need to change their ways, made to pay back some money and pay some costs.
