Argos bike lock was "burned" open - Bike stole

Hey,

 

I got a bike lock from argos from their own range for a new bike I bought.

 

I left it outside a local shopping centre while I went inside to buy a few things and locked it to railings and around the frame and wheel.

 

When I came back the plastic around where the key inserts was melted and of course bike missing..

 

The only way the bike could have been taken is if the lock was opened.

 

They were kind enough to close the lock again after taking the bike..

Is there anything I can do about this?

do you have a picture of the lock as it is now?

 

Have you asked for a copy of the cctv. I presume the area was covered as most shopping centres are well covered normally

thanks for the reply. I took photos on my phone when my key wouldnt work. Security was the first place i went,they checked but the cameras dont reach the railings, about 2metres from the doors...

Did they pick the lock or did they cut through the wire or is it something else?
