Hi

I've made a complaint to Next regarding PPI on my Next Directory account. I do not remember taking it out and would not have knowingly done so.

They have come back with a very vague letter stating it would have been taken out either by ticking a box or during a phone call but they have not stated which and have not provided any supporting evidence. They seem to just be making a general statement rather than specific to my account.

I have made a subject access request but am just wondering what to do after that if they don't have the application or can't prove where I select the cover...Next have confirmed they are not covered by FOS so presumably they can just keep rejecting my complaint as they know I can't do anything further apart from court action (I assume) which I haven't the foggiest how to go about!

Any pearls of wisdom? I have looked at other threads on here but from what I can see, no one seems to have had any success!

When did you take the account out?

They should be able to provide you with the exact form this alleged application for PPI took.

Await the SAR and see of that throws up any useful information.

Just to let you know that l had a response to a section 78 request from Next last year, and in the 'true' copy of my agreement there is NOTHING about PPI at all, the current agreement also has nothing on its out PPI either!!

They have had over £400 off me, l have put a claim in for a refund, will wait and see what rubbish they come up with.

HiI have had an update from the FOS, apparently the underwriters for the policy were Groupama, who are now Ageas Insurance, who are covered by the FOS.My PPI was taken out in march 1998, so that may be your best bet, that is if you have not heard from anyone else about this. The FOS say that Ageas were part of the FOS.Cups
