recently i bought a laptop from someone on a forum

and like an idiot i decided to buy it

i bought it using paypal which had my yorkshire bank card attached to it

today i realised i got done v as the idiot actually admitted to it

but then he suddenly said i cant charge back or something because he has closed his account

now am quite upset

i was wondering how do i actually do a chargeback with yorkshire bank or if i can even do one?

as i paid him $100 which is around £65 but its still alot of money for me

am quite unhappy

any help would be appreicated also this has never happend to me before

i didnt even know waht a charge back was before this and only still have limtied knowledge of it

I doubt the bank would help as it would be paypal that took your money not the seller directly.

I would still use the paypal dispute procedure about the non-receipt or faulty goods through their protection scheme.

If you just sent it as a cash transfer then you may have problems.

do you have his address, name etc. then you can take him to court.

if not ,then complian to the forum and they may have his details on record.
