Hi

I'm new to this site but would appreciate any help I can get.

I had an Egg account that defaulted and was sent to Lowell. The original default date on the account was 28/3/06. I'm in an arrangement with Lowell to py off monthly and gave been doing so every month. This default was has now been removed from my credit profile as the 6 years is up.

However!!

Upon checking my credit report today I now have the same default attached from egg dated October 2010? It states settled but this has never shown on any previous credit reports I have recieved? I have protect my I'd and check regularly, o checked on the 14th of this month and it wasn't there.

I'm now stuck as my profile was clean after this default dropped from Lowell, is this legal? I feel as though they have now moved the goalposts and I'll still gave the default for another 4.5 years.....!!!!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi welcome to CAG,

No this is not right there can only be one default date it

cannot be changed if it shows Egg on the entry then you

must make a formal complaint to them or their successors

to get the entry removed.

Place a notice of dipute with the CRA showing the entry.

If youhave only checked 1 CRA Experian for example check

Equifax as well.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.
