Hi All

 

Well I was well and truly duped last night.

 

Hello Blah Blah we can do this for you ' More Finanace ' took my card details with a defered payment till next week £69.50. on the basis that it is their fee for getting me a loan, to which I had not agreed and they said that I have 14 days cooling off etc.

 

Guess what, they tried to take the money today and they couldnt cos I have no money, so my bank called and said naughty boy what you doing, run your account properly or we will close it.?

 

I have tried to get in touch with 'More' but they dont respond...any numbers please?

 

My bank said that they would attempt to pay again when requested thus giving me another telling off.

 

Ok your thinking, Cancell, the bank say no! so can I not just close the account and open another? or go to another bank?

 

Headache or what, seams that problems follow you about when you have had problems eh?

 

Mr Frustrated.

Hello there.

 

You should be able to cancel the authority either with the lender - or by contacting your bank. It's better to do this in writing.

Well I already spoke with the bank and they say NO, and I cant get in touch with 'MORE' ?

 

So what would you propose I put into a letter that I havent already told them on a primetime number for 26 mins?

 

I could write a letter and take it to the bank tommorow?

Your bank must cancel it if you instruct them to.

Hi All

 

Update

 

Well I am still no further forward with the CPA Cancellation, it has went to the investigations department of my bank, yet the banks advisor said its a waste of time as they WILL NOT CANCELL AN CPA. I refeered to the BCOBS, and they just sighed and said, well you gave out your details, they now say that they will remove funds from my joint account with Mrs W if they cant take from my acc?

 

they told me to wait 28 days in the meantime, the sharks will request payment and we wil do our best as a reputable bank to Pay them.

 

Ok so is there another bank I cann get acc with? then I can close the coop acc, then communicate direct with the companies themselves ( Wonga )

This fee they are trying to get is a one-off fee, not a CPA. Nevertheless, your bank should comply with your instructions to not pay it.

 

You have the 14 day cooling off period so I would contact them at both addresses, (to cover yourself)

I’ve read about these CRA’s before and with a lot of the bank droids not having a clue some people suggest it’s easier just to tell the bank that your card security details have been compromised so they cancel everything associated with that card and get issued a new one with new number.
