Did you honestly expect an apology??!

As for them writing off interest and charges - these (probably) shouldn't have been attempted to be levied against you in the first place. How are you getting on with FOS OFT and Trading Standards?

Yes, they've treated me like **** for months.

I haven't made any complaints to FOS, OFT or Trading Standards. I've had no need to so far but i'm gonna be sending in some notes on Money Shop to the OFT's payday review they're doing. Might include one or two others as well.

You need to report them at the first available opportunity. The OFT is performing an indepth investigation into the entire payday loans business. Each complaint is dealt with. If you dont complain, then thats 1 complaint less that could tip the scales in favour of the PDL's.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Poguesy, you claim that you've had no need to make complaints to FOS, OFT or Trading Standards so far? Why? You freely admit in the previous sentence they've treated you badly for months so what are you waiting for?!. As renegadeimp says, OFT are investigating these people, the more evidence they can collate of poor practice, the more chance there is in the industry being cleaned up?

OFT won't charge you, FOS won't charge you (although they will charge PDE £500.00 for the trouble of investigating). The only cost to you is some of your time.

Yeah, i've been treated badly by a couple of them but i've wanted to wait until everything was sorted with all of my payday loan debts.

I will get a complaint about the Money Shop sent in as soon as possible ;)

Poguesy,

The MoneyShop are the in the same group of companies as PDE, Express Finance, Castlebridge etc. You'll receive the same answer as you already have had. If you want to take it further, complaint to FOS, OFT and Trading Standards, don't bother wasting your time otherwise.

Sorry to jump on the end of someone else's post and I am glad to hear that you have made some progress with these fools.

I was issued with a CCJ three years ago and recently satisfied it through Bryan Carter. At the time I was not in a position to deal with this company so I let them treat me like rubbish. This year I decided enough was enough and made a complaint to them. After some emails they have now paid to have the CCJ removed from my credit file as I said to them they was in breach of agreement by taking more than what was agreed from my bank. This was after a repayment plan had been set up. Does anyone think that they have removed the CCJ due to their error in the first place and they are worried I will sue them?

Please let me know.

Good luck with these people just persevere.

It could be phillyg. However, theres no need to dwell on it now. The debt is paid off, the CCJ was removed. You could have had a written confirmation of this, just incase they try something down the line, but at least youre good now.

I have a question regarding my Txtloan account.

As ya know i recently paid them off but when going through my emails i noticed that attached to the payment receipt was a default notice for 2 x £25. This is supposedly for 1st and 2nd reminder charges.

I have no intention of paying this, of course, but do you think i should be wary and get it cleared up?

I've already got an email from Txtloan stating i have no oustanding balance remaining but thought it odd that was attached.

Sent off an email to them about it.
