Just looking at my hubby CR file and noticed that a CCJ was registered against him 3 years ago for £3000.

Now we dont recognise anything about the organisation who has registered it against us or the court etc etc etc.

We have lived at our address for 6 years so would have certainly noticed something like this coming to our house.

Now we only discovered it because we have had two mortgages turned down. So it looks like we going to have to apply for sub standard lender which is going be worse than our current rate.

Is there any way or getting this removed whilst we look into it.

Im not saying he doesnt ligit owe the money, but as things stand we never even heard of the company or this CCJ. I mean can we apply to the court etc etc and ask them to remove it for a period of 28 days whilst we try to unpick what on earth is going on.

Another question surely people cant just register these things at your current address without letting you know or giving you a chance to pay up or (if required) appeal?

Any advice most grateful

i found one as well i am using this site here it gives you step by step guide what to do

basically if you knew nothing about it you can apply for a set aside, but i think you will have to pay the whole amount of in one go, else they wil just issue another ccj with a payment plan starting of the 6 years on you credit report again
