Hi

Just to say, laws in the U.S are not valid here, the fact they tightened up on payday loans is one of the every reasons that they came over here. Yes you can only have one loan with one company but there are many many companies out there. I was in default with two or 3 yet still managed to get 3 more. I had a credit card with vanquis yet could have had a loan with shopacheck (the same company) even though i was in default with Provident. They are meant to be responsible lenders but its all crap.

Ok so I am responsible for my debts and am not trying to get out of them but they really should play the game as well

As far as I believe Quick Quid and Wonga are not the same companyI also think you'll looking for loopholes that don't exist, remember you no doubt applied online for loan in the first place with the likes of the above...

Oh I know chuck and I can see what you are saying but it's quite different over here at the mo!

The terrible upshot is also that some will be as ackward as they can do in an almost 'stand in front of you' way

There's the sneaky roll on of loans these companies try to get away with, people struggling to gain access to their accounts and so they find can't pay... companies trying to deny letters received

Certainly makes me wonder...

Wonga and Quick Quid are two completely separate legal entities.

US Law does not apply to the UK, our law supercedes theirs so you have been watching too many ads on TV where you can get your loan written off due to flaws, sadly since the Rankine cases this does not apply.

At the end of the day you borrowed X amount, agreed to repay X amount and have not, this is what the bottom line is in court.

ok last time,i have NOT defaulted on my 2 pdl loans my original question was how was it possible to get more than one pdl at a time, the info i mentioned about some us states not enforcing on line pdl agreements was just that a bit of info an american mate gave me,let me be clear on this i have no intention of using this to get out of my debt nor was i advocating any one else tried to use it as well, hope that clears that up........

Hi stephenb The only answer to your question is it seems so long as you have blood moving

through your veins it seems easy to get more than one loan at a time.

Yes, it is possible to have more than one at a time. However, not at all payday lenders. Some lenders have a verifier that tells them if you currently have a loan through another lender. Some lenders won't mind and others will hold that against you. Also, as with most loans, its just not recommended that you have more than one at a time just because you don't want to get behind and get yourself into more debt than when you started.

Indeed and well done. To show how silly it is I get emails from companies that i am repaying at £1 per month. I think it may just be a ploy to get my new debit card details.

i have around 45 e-mails from different pdl companies all offering me money, responsible lending my a@@e,and no im not applying for any of them, ive learned my pdl lesson

Do you really believe this??

I did say twice, on another thread of mine even, that Stephenb had resurrected yesterday that it is really just a TRAP ! they have abso no intentions of lending to you when you have defaulted if this is what your planning. If not your maybe posting in the wrong forum.

Why bother 'lose a card' because what do you suspect you'll be asked for with another loan ??

All my postings are based on personal experience or some kind of logic that has seen me through, no matter how much it is not liked.

Oh and I'm also not a debt avoider just more concerned about paying my debts back rather then challenging stuff on here which has already been seen and answered many times,

Cheers & god bless

for the last time i have not defaulted on my 2 pdl loans, indeed they will both be paid off one 31st of this month,i have no intention of going down the pdl route ever again, some off the posts being left are accusing me off looking for ways to escape my debt,i came across this site and asked a simple question dont really need the hassle of explaining myself,in fact im pretty sure that pdl are on here posting threads,.

Funny the same could be said about your posts...

Granted I do work for a company with american roots but it sure ain't connected to payday loans - far from it!!

I won't hummour any more of your posts if as you say your not a debtor needing advice or comfort

Sorry if I've caused you any offence but I couldn't care less that PDL Big Brother is watching over me.

I've nothing to fear.

You've said your paying your dues back, lets leave it at that.

Sorry but for me dealing with my debts is a touchy subject (in the real world it is not the most pleasant of subjects which is why I'm on here I guess I got to remember it is not a crime to be in debt) but I will soon be like you and have them paid and won't fall into the trap again - with the plans I've been able to set up this has been giving me breathing space and opportunity each month to save even be it a fiver so now I'm setting my little hidey hides with emergency money for the future so there's no excuses for going back down the slippery PDL route!

We are both national minimum wage workers and like a lot of people out there but I bet we love what we do and it's the only way we have kept our jobs through this hard time :grouphug:
