Linked address

How long do linked addresses stay on a credit file and who can see them. Secondly there is a linked address on my file which was a c/o address 5 years ago. I never lived there. Unfortunately the person who did live at this address ended up with a lot of debts and I would like this address removed. Is this possible

I had numerous linked address on my CF a few years ago so I wrote to all of the three main CRA and explained that i had no conections to these addresses in anyway,. They were all removed with no fuss at all.

 

I t was one of the only easy things the CRA's have done for me.

Most times a simple letter

of disassociation to the compliance

dept. of the CRA will get it removed.

Some exceptions may be if CIFAS

or Gain and CCJ entries on those addresses.

The CRAs will supply a form for this

and financial associations if you need it.

Experian is the biggest credit reference agency, and this is the link for the dissociation form for them, which is free:

Equifax and Call Credit have

similar services, you do need

to contact all three as they are

the most used.
