Advice Needed Please

I hope this is in the correct area...

 

I am having a few problems, a couple of banks have put some CIFAS entries on my credit record, I have ascertained these are automatically put on as my dates for living at addresses were incorrect on a c ouple of applications I made around 6 months ago.

 

My question is how do I get these taken off as I wasn't deliberately trying to cause fraud or apply fraudulently!

 

I would like to write a letter to the banks involved to ask them to retract this from my account record, but don't know the actual legal terminology to use.

It sounds like the notes on your record were done validly & I doubt you'll get anyone to take them off, BUT...

 

IIRC You can write to the credit reference agency asking for a note to be added to your file. This note will then be seen by anyone who looks at your file. It will be up to them to decide if they believe your explanation.
