Can someone please provide some information as to whether it is a requirement for a utility company to confirm the date the warrant application was going before a court? Just trying to get to the bottom of something for someone and cannot find the information. My thoughts were that there should have been a summons issued and that it couldn't just go before mags.

I would have thought that there would have been some warning by way of a Letter before Action or as you say a Summons in order for a person to enter a defence..

Have you telephoned the court the Warrant was issued from ?

Not seen it. Was a business account for an off-site premises, and had been on leave. Came back to find a worried social worker trying to calm down two adults with severe learning difficulties who had received the visit. Awaiting sight of the warrant myself, as would be my section responsible for payments.
