Barclays Bank has been forced to admit it paid just £113m in UK corporation tax in 2009 – a year when it rang up a record £11.6bn of profits.

Why are the banks allowed to get away with tax avoidance, yet we get jail time???

This issue is exactly the reason why UK Uncut members are trying to get the general public interested in, it isn't just the banks that don't pay tax, ALL of the large corporations, especially the mobile phone industry, even Boots, are able to dodge paying tax.

Who ever heard of someone getting a job at the Jobcentre? The unemployed are sent there as penance for their sins, not to help them find work!
