i think i will do that Martin ,i never gave it a second thought the MOJ now you mention it it would make more sense it might even trigger alarm bells concerning Alice , if it does not trigger alarm bells then after their reply i may be able to point them in the right direction with regards to what has gone on in the past with Alice , worth a try thanks

Give it a go Pat.

US President Barack Obama referred to Ugland House as the biggest building in the world or the biggest tax SCA* in the world.

I've been telling people to copy in the MOJ on complaints to the OFT etc for ages now, they (MOJ) are one of the few agencies who seem to be able to instantly close loopholes - and have companies closed down.

A request to the MOJ to check court records for Alice's company would possibly throw up some extremely enlightening stats, this would need to cover

1. Cases dismissed due to lack of particulars/evidence

2. Cases stayed

3, Cases immediately moved to charging orders

4. No of 'arrestation of bank account' cases

if anyone can think of things then maybe they can be added, we can add evidence from this site to back the misdemeanours up without fear of repurcussions (or at least that is my understanding of the law).

Sound advice DB.

We need to make sure we keep up the pressure and keep making our complaints to the OFT and hammer home the nails in the HFO coffin

My advice is given through personal experience and is given without prejudice

Did I say 'evil'?

I meant 'spawn of the devil himself, with extra horns and hooves, all wrapped up in the four horsemen of the apocalypse with halitosis and necrotising syphilitic wart-ridden pus-filled open sores.'

Or something.

Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust;

For the first time I would be happy to say these words

And my donkey mask has arrived. Oh joy. Prepare for a trot up The Broadway! Keep looking out of your 5th floor windows, you lovely folk at TR! I'll be watching you. You'll know it's me - I'm a donkey.

Reverend! Really! Outrageous! Hope you can officiate at the funeral. When they go down, I'll arrange it!

No wonder the SRA are above useless when they can’t even spell.

Bellow is taken directly from the SRA site.

The Law Society's consumer credit group licence has been varied to include the two new categories of ancillary credit business which came into force on 1 October 2008. The two new categories covered by the group licence are "debt administration" and "credit information services". The validity date on the current group licence has expired, but the Office of Fair Training (OFT) has confirmed that it remains in force while the OFT considers our application to renew the group licence.

And again

The group licence covers these activities provided that they are carried on in the course of practice as a solicitor. The SRA has applied for the group licence to be renewed on essentially the same basis, but the Office of Fair Training (OFT) has expressed concern about whether firms that undertake debt collection as part of their core business should be covered by the group licence.

I think someone in the SRA needs some training lol.

Surely if a solicitors firm SOLELY does debt collecting (and I can name a few) then they MUST have a separate licence. Its a bit like a bus company only licencing one bus when they need to licence the lot - cheapskates or what.

Should hopefully be a nail in the coffin to the 'in house solicitor teams' operating under a group licence or a group SRA licence... and certain other firms profits would be hit by having to pay out licence fees.

The OFT seem to be developing teeth.....

The matter of group licenses has cropped up with the use of DCA's by the government as one particular company

operates under a group licence, but trades a solicitors and their core business is debt collection
