have had a pre enforecement letter pushed through for 800 council tax. have cancelled a savings policy which will credit my acc.on 3rd dec.when can be paid in full. are they likely to accept this or will i get grief until that date.....or should i give post dated to the council. many thanks:?:

Enforcement action will still continue unfortunately and you will already have incurred some charges. Is the amount you owe confirmed by the Council. I would imagine the Council will disregard any request you make - don't forget also that post dated cheques are not "valid tender" and if presented before the due date may well be cashed, there is nothing that compels banks or those you owe not to present the cheque for payment before the date upon it. In the meantime it will be best to avoid your newest caller however difficult that may be - by then you may have incurred extra charges.

Council tax recovery procedure doesnt require bailiffs to push a letter through, the council must send a reminder or a final notice.

Someone is having you on. Drakes ceased to exist several years ago when its credit license renewal failed due to mounting CCJs and they sought a new sponsor to make a fresh application. On came John Marston who offered a security and its been renamed Marston Group as homage.
