I have only just found out about this process, and this amazing site!

I have, until last year, been a Lloyds customer. Unfortunately due to debt problems our accounts were closed. We still have debt problems, not just with Lloyds but other CC companies....but we are paying them off slowly.

Many many times, it was the charges levied by Lloyds for unpaid DD's that forced us over the overdraft limit, and thus attracted more charges!

Can we still claim even though we are in an informal arrangement with our creditors? What is the likely effect a claim will have on that informal arrangement?

If it is an informal arrangement, there should be no effect on your creditors. Of course if they hear of your successful claim they might want some of it.

It's your money and your decision.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

Just got a reply from Payplan who are administering our informal arrangment with our creditors.

They say that Lloyds shouldn't treat us any differently because of the claim....but then they go onto to say that our accounts are now with "CDR", a different dept within Lloyds and that they will have frozen interest on the accounts.

Is this a veiled warning that interest may once again be applied should we proceed with a claim?

I am damn sure that Lloyds have fleeced us with lots of charges, and i want it back...but i cannot afford to start escalating debts again with interest, or having to repay the debt all at once.
