Hi Jansus,

Please don't *ake *e look the brilliant guy who pulled it off!

Without you angels, I would have been sitting on *y doorstep, next week.

*y sincere apologies for *y warped sense of hu*or and trying to *islead all you Angels.

Jansus, I'* trying to *ake you feel better about your *, but it is very hard to do.

To confirm: Yes, he allowed *e to pay less than the original contractually agreed a*ount of £ 258.28.

Well, Jansus, as a result of sitting here in an elated state, I have now resorted to extracting the *ichael. Sorry, it's Ell's fault for being so good at what she does!! Please get the Q-tips out, prise off the *-key and clean away the stickyness, 'cause thats what I think it is.

Bye Angels!!

very clever - thought it was bad news when I started reading.

So to be clear - you can pay less that the actual due payt for now to give yourself ti*e to sort yourself out?

Sounds like a good deal .

Well done you.

Would type *ore but so *any words have the letter *:D

Don't worry DoubleU - I'm not a bloke, just a 50 something female passionate about giving subprime (and other) lenders a hard time - I've seen what the threat of eviction can do to people and if I can do a little to alleviate that then I'm happy :)

I wish I could put every possession case in front of the judge you had today!

Hi guys 'n gals.

Back from having had a restful week-end. :D

Wow, just starting to realise the luxury of having a good night sleep!! Not quite on top yet, but I am encouraged enough to re-double my search for work. Let's hope I can land something soon, minimum wage will do, anything that can help me to keep these guys from my front door is welcome, even mine disposal! (talking about deparate. . . . )

Anybody know where I can find a sample letter to send to the other debtors (all unsecured) to ask them for the original signed agreements? :?

Oh, and while we are at it, I reckon my bank ows me about £3000 in unfair charges. Where do I go for that?

(See guys? that is the effect you have on people!!! You change them from whitless zombies into (pro) active campaigners for justice!! ;)

Bye

What you guys are now responsible for. . . . . . .;)

You have given me the courage to start taking my future in my own hands and fight!! (with the asistance of the 'Caggers')

So, today I have spend 4 hours in writing letters to my creditors, banks and any other who dares to phone me about me owing them money., some of whom are becoming extremely peeved with the slow repayments I have been making, whilst looking for employment. (£10.=/month).

From what I have seen in different threads, they have no idea of what's coming. . . . . .

Tomorrow I will print and post the first letters and let's see what will happen.

This will potentially be another thread, but fear not, I will remain true to you guys and gals and keep a close tab on this one.

Thank you all,

regards

DoubleU

DoubleU, make sure any letters you send are by recorded delivery, keep copies of the letters and print out the signature receipts from the royalmail website a few days after posting - keep those with the relevant copies of letters.

It's a good idea to get a ring binder and punched pockets, use one pocket for each company that you are dealing with so it's easy to see how each case is progressing.

Good to hear you are feeling so positive :)

Good morning to you all! ;)

Once again, thanks for all your comments. Reading them, certainly makes me feel a lot better at the start of a new day. It sort of gets you started in the right frame of mind. Ell, thanks for that, I will certainly make a note of your advice (I would be stupid not to) I didn't know that you can 'lift' the receipt signature from the royal mail website

Another piece of invaluable information! Folder and/or ringbinder is also a good idea, and I will start them off today. (This is starting to look like a unpaid full time job! Then again, if I look at the potential savings a may make by doing this, it will definitely be worth it. . . .

I'll keep you posted. . .

Hi DoubleU, isn' it amazing what a good night's sleep can do!! When you do letters to your creditors, PLEASE DO NOT SIGN THEM type your name or use an alternative signature to the one that you normally use:wink:. You can't be too careful. Keep us posted and we will do all we can to help. Also, you can check on Royal Mail when they have received your letters by putting in the recorded delivery number from your stubb. It is always a good idea to print this off, then you know who signed for it at the other end:grin:

Been away so have entirely missed this problem with - and victory over - Blemain until today. What a dreadful experience but what a brilliant result.

So pleased for you. They are absolute terrors. Does the fact that the judge knows about them mean that word is generally out? Curious.

But mostly so delighted for you. Would have been praying and crossing things along with the others had I been around.

Hi Caggers!! :D

Regarding signatures of letters to creditors etc:

In view of the warnings regarding the 'lifting' of signatures off letters sent, I feel it a bit strange, signing the letter and then crossing the signature out. I have a signature with a little bit of a 'flourish'. This 'flourish' creates a space in the signature. In this space I put the date on which I post the letter. That date corresponds with the recorded delivery slip that is received from the post office. I believe this to be safer than crossing the signature, because each new signature renders the older ones 'out of date'. As a result, 'creating' pre-dated documents by 'lifting' your signature puts the wrong date on it and is therefore un-usable.

Bye gang!

Back to pestering the creditors

PS: I believe it is not possible to send recorded delivery to P.O. Box numbers. How do I find the address of the Abbey Bank, anybody know?

I've sent recorded to PO boxes and it's always been signed for.
