Hi,

Thanks to everyone who created this great site. Great to see a few people willing to fight for rights.

I just discovered all of this a few weeks ago and wrote to Halifax for my statements. They replied including a summary of charges (over 4000) and mentioned the stays.

I did nothing then. I can't get a clear picture for reading these posts of what the situation is.

Is here any point in writing to them knowing they will say no and then starting an action knowing there will be a stay?

Is it not just a swell to wait until it is finally dealt with in a couple of years and claim then.

Any advice will be appreciated.

If you have simply ask for details of the charges then you haven't actually made your intention to the bank clear, ie that you are reclaiming the charges. SO you should do that as a bare minimum.
