Hi all her indoors has just realised she has payment and purchase protection on her Bank of Ireland Credit card, sent an initial letter SAR and recieved back the original agreement problem being the box is ticked but not by her definately not her mark . The agreement is a preapproved application form which has a purchase and non purchase statement asking the applicant to tick whichever box, no box has been ticked by her so I assume BOI have ticked the purchase box as no box was ticked . The PPI part of the form starts with the statement "We strongly recommend that you avail of our payment and purchase protection " Does this make this an advised sale ?

Your thoughts and advice as always greatly appreciated

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Final response from the Bank of Ireland in which they state "It was not our policy to make recommendations to our customers about this insurance. As we did not make recommendations for this insurance we did not complete a demands and needs statement which is required when advice is given. we had already estabished eligibility criteria from the information stated on the credit card application ,such as date of birth, current employment lenght of time with current employer etc.

Problem being that the application form clearly states "we recommend that you protect your payments and purchases with our specially designed payment and purchase protection "

Also all that is contained on the application form is name ,DOB,and employers name and address.
