I was not 100% sure where to put this..i need some advice

My wife bought Travel insurance from Boots at Manchester Airport on the 10th July 2009,it was cover for 17 days.

When she arrived in Amsterdam from Manchester her connected flight to Chengdu China was canceled due to plane failure and unsafe to fly.

She was put up in a hotel by the airport and given a phone card (Did Not Work) and her next available flight was 3pm on saturday afternoon.

She would of originally flew into China at 10am on saturday morning, but arrived at 7am sunday morning.

I have copied and pasted from what the Policy covers in lost of time whilst traveling.

Cancelling or cutting short your trip

We Will Pay (Boots)

Up to the sum shown in the benefit tables on pages 4 - 6 for travel, accommodation expenses and pre-paid excursions that you have paid for or have agreed to pay for under a contract and which you cannot get back if it is necessary and unavoidable for you to cancel or cut short your trip

This Includes

A proportion of the costs of cutting short your trip, calculated on a pro-rata basis, for each complete day from your arrival back in the UK or to your home for trips made in the UK on a multi trip policy

Is my wife covered to put in a claim for a lost of time whilst traveling ?
