Can I Request A Copy Default Notice

Hello all,

 

Can i request a copy of a default notice?

If so, would/should a company send you this under a SAR or do i need to write and request this separately?

Think i need to check out if they've been issued correctly ?

Hello cerberusalert, not one of my subject access requests have produced a copy default notice.

And i sent the full SAR too !

Shall i write to them and request they send me a copy by return?

Did you use this template? http://www.consumerforums.com/resources/templates-library/86-debt-collectors/576-subject-access-request-debt-a-dca.html if so it stipulates that a copy of a DN is required & if the haven't supplied it they haven't complied with your request as they should send details of all the information they hold under the Data Protection Act. Write & tell them that they haven't complied, list what you require & if they fail to supply the documents make a complaint to the Information Commissioners Office https://www.ico.gov.uk/Global/contact_us.aspx who have the power to take enforcement & fine them £5000.
