Hi all.

I have spent ages going through very old paperwork. I have sorted ALL letters into piles, and there is a small pile from Thames Credit Ltd relating to an alleged debt which i KNOW i never took out. They claim i had a credit card with a company i know i have never had dealings with.

More suspicious, despite going through nearly 4 years of paperwork for ALL my debts, i have ONLY letters from Thames Credit bearing this alleged account number and debt figure. NO original creditor has ever contacted me, and i have nothing else, no other DCAs (which in my experience is strange as they usually do the rounds, where one fails another tries etc).

I think they have completely dreamed this number up and attempted to get money out of me on it. Also, between each letter which were sent on a monthly basis, the alleged overall balance jumps up in chunks of either OVER £100 or around £50-£60.

ANyone suggest what i should do with this? Maybe CCA them? Bear in mind i have not heard from them for well over a year. There were 5 or 6 letters and then NOTHING since. I think they were trying it on. Of course i can't prove this without going further, so anyone suggest what to do next?

You could CCA them to see what they come up with but if they havent contacted you in a bit why "relight the fire"?

I would personally sit and wait to see what else comes in IF anything

Sploits :p
