Parked in a retail park for around 3.5 hours & on return found a ticket for £100/£50 14 day discount. Didn't see any signs when I drove in (last time I was there was 5+ years before & no parking restrictions then!), but afterwards when looking closely could see 1 old sign by the shop - none by the car park entrance or where I parked. I didn't take any photos at the time, and now can't return to do so. Is it worth just paying the £50? I am doubtful the time of arrival is correct - it seems too early by 20 or so minutes but I have nothing concrete to present... Any thoughts?

Can you tell us whether it is a council or private parking company ticket?

Then my friend, I have some very good news for you - it is absolutely 100% legally unenforceable. What will happen is the ppc will obtain your details from the DVLA for £2.50. They will send you a couple of letters threatening anything from damaged credit ratings through to baliffs - good news for you is that it is all rubbish. They have no real legal position therefore they have to rely on frightening people in to paying. You will then receive a couple of letters from a DCA (debt collector) who also doesn't have any legal powers. By this time you will be getting final final demands. Then you will probably get a letter from a solicitor - another final warning and then they will give up.

All of us have all been through this process and come out the otherside without paying a penny or being damaged in anyway.

Just ignore them and do not disclose a thing; however threatened you may feel do not give up as they can do nothing.

All the best
