Just found this suggestion from another thread, it seem a lot of these threat letters have gone out recently!

So maybe a response is advisable and will give them food for thought!

The problem is if they have previously sent a recon, that satisfies s78 request so not really sure what to send! :???:

Hi all

Post today. Has me confused. A Experto have sent through an Arrears Notice. Considering they had sent the account to Fairfax, this Arrears notice was from EC themselves. Any guess at what they are playing at?

How should I respond?

Sorry Capricorn it's Fairfax that are calling, just one call at work that I am aware of.

I don't know if I have ever had a call from Experto, certainly not from any numbers that are noted on my phone but there has been some from withheld or international numbers so they may have been EC.

The OC for this one is Sainsbury's so RBS

They do seem to handle a number of Experto accounts,

their approach is to phone and doorstep and seem to

avoid correspondence in writing.

Google them and have a look, iv'e seen them off a

few times.
