a little info would be good here please.

my ex moved out 2007 august and moved into his new flat in jan 2008 he was staying with his sister until then and i agreed to take his mail until then.

he registered his new address with nationwide and his accounts changed so did all mine all my savings accounts and financial records went to his place, also he had online access to all my accounts.I had to change them all back myself no apoligy or help(they didnt even see it as a problem)

the problem is only comming up now i have a huge morgage and 2 kids to pay for and he was giving me £150 a month, but he now says he cant afford it and i earn too much and have tonnes in savings.

i work 30hrs a week and earn £13000 my savings all went last november on new central heating and plastering work.

he should never have seen the files .

can i claim off nationwide?

Presumably he would have requested the changes-and if your data was handled without your permission then they have fell short of their duty of care.

Not only is this a data protection issue, but I would think almost certainly a breach under the banking codes.

You need to write to them demanding an explanation.
