Hi all quick question please:confused: yorkshire bank are saying they have only got to provide statements from the last 6 years is that true? i have asked them to provide me with statements from 2002 they say they dont have to, thanks

Send the SAR letter (in the letter templates library) Requesting ALL data that they hold.

Enclose the maximum statutory fee of £10. They then have 40 days in which to comply.

Yup, agree with Rooster, I sent one to Northern Rock and they sent me a shed load of stuff from the year dot when we opened the account.

You'll probably get the same response I did from Barclaycard. Any information they hold on microfilm does not conform to a recognised filing system or some such rubbish, therefore they do not have to supply it.

 

In my case it was anything pre- May 2004 (but they sent me EXACTLY 6 years worth as a "gesture of good will").

Thanks i did send the subject acess request they only sent me statements from feb 200/ oct2003 thats when they defaulted me but was on a redused plan until feb 2008 they then i requested a copy off cca which is unforceble they have only started to update my credit file do they still do that when you have been defaulted :confused:i will post up the letter they have sent me thanks

Just to let you know that myself and a couple more with Yorkshire Bank managed to get our statements from bank account opening dates. My statements were supplied from 1994 period to present.
