I sent a letter on MOnday having just found out about this group and the illegality of bank charges that same day. I just got a phoncecall from First Direct apologising and saying they are refunding the amount, and also warning me that I am about to go overdrawn again, so I need to take action! Hoorah! It's not a huge amount by any means, but every little helps.... :p

Excellent and well done.

 

I think that under the influx, "they" might start getting a tier system, where people reclaiming small amounts might find it easier all of the sudden... 8)

 

How much were you reclaiming, out of interest?

I think you're right, bookworm. To have the standard letter ready that my daughter and a few others on here have recieved, all exactly the same wording, suggests that they have had numerous requests and are expecting more. I feel sorry for the guy they're telling us all to contact next, although we intend to bypass him and take the small claims route, and hopefully so will the others.
