Ah well, I know the answer to that one, actually, as Mr BW told me earlier: ITV bought 9 episodes as they got their dates wrong, to fit in before the European Cup, then realised their mistake and therefore decided to skip one.

As for being ahead of me, guess again, I have seen them all already. :-D

Well, here's a few disjointed thoughts to throw in the pot:

If the island can go time/space hopping, that could explain the polar bears, both for those on the island (if the island was somewhere colder in the past. or the future. what do I know?) and the bones found in the desert (desert used to be sea, are you still following?)

Interesting AKA for Locke, by the way, although one wonders whether the names have any real significance or is it just the writers amusing themselves with their knowledge of philosophers through the ages.

I'm a bit disappointed by the whole time/space thing, actually. To me, time paradox is always a bit of a cop-out, because of its paradoxical nature, it's too often used to explain away anomalies and if it doesn't fit, well, it's a paradox, what do you expect? :-|

Still damn good viewing, though. :-D
